Sabre Training Camp
Training Camp Program The emphasis will be on technical footwork/handwork drills and tactics. There will also be a good deal of structured bouting, video analysis, specific and general conditioning, etc. This high intensity camp will provide an excellent opportunity for fencers to improve their competitive skills.
Camp Coaches Nick Dinu, Laguna Fencing Center. Nick is a former member of the Romanian National Team. He was Coach of the Romanian Olympic Junior Team. Alex Jeffrey, Beaches Sabre Club (New York). Alex was on the Canadian National Saber Team and he was Head Coach of the Canadian Women’s Saber Team. Carolyn was a founding member of the Canadian Women's Sabre Team, a Commonwealth bronze medalist, and is co-coach at Beaches Sabre Club-NY. She has over seventeen years of competitive and coaching fencing experience.
Registration A maximum of 20 fencers will be accepted for this sabre camp. The organizers reserve the right to exclude registration requests based on availability and experience. We must receive your registration request and payment no later than July 31, 2008. However, registration will close once the camp has reached capacity.

Liability All fencers must sign liability waivers prior to engaging in camp activities. If the fencer is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver for the fencer. If a parent or legal guardian will not be present at the start of the camp, arrangements can be made to provide them with a waiver in advance to be filled out and submitted by the fencer. |
